What is the most important lesson you want to teach your child?

I’m often asked about the one essential thing to teach my child, but in truth, it’s not just one lesson; it’s a collection of skills. I strongly believe in the beautiful African proverb, “If a Tree Does Not Know How to Dance, the Wind Will Teach It.” One crucial lesson to impart is how to handle their emotions. What should they do when feeling down, sad, scared, lonely, devastated, or lost? Teaching them how to overcome self-doubt, cope with failure, grieve, and heal from heartbreak is vital. Emphasizing self-love and self-empowerment is essential! I hope my book, “Threads for Life,” serves as a guiding light for navigating the challenges of life.
